Inspiration

Last night I lay tossing and turning in bed at mid night-ish being bombarded (Ah hah! I spelled it correctly with out Blogger's amazing 'Spell Check'! ) billions of random thoughts..
I was rather stuck with one 'question' my mind threw at me..

"Who was my idol and my inspiration?"
I never really thought about this question before mainly because I didn't find the need for one...

I went through all the 'cake-y' celebrities and people that I found 'Idol Worthy'.. None made it!
Not even Eddie Spence and Margaret Braun, even though their pieces of art (I can't even call them cakes!) FABULOUSO they didn't really make me who I am today.
Although I am really GREAT (Yet!)..!

Soon after that I realized that THAT person was no other than, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
Yes, it is lady Gaga.

I assume you are wondering how that (Ehem.. Excuse me for a while please Gaga. That's if you ever read my blog!) crazy women that wore a meat dress ( You have no idea how many people ask me "Why on earth do you listen to Lady Gaga?!" Not saying anymore I can't insult Lady Gaga on my blog to that extend.. To those who said those words and more to me it HURTS! And it kind of proofs you don't know talent from non, eh? ) inspires me..

There are a land of o' plenty of reasons why she inspires me but these are the main ones that I keep in mind all the time...

  • To not regret being unique, there are plenty of 'ordinary' people and only a few have the opportunity to see the gift they were born with (A.K.A Born this way! I have been listening to it over, over, over and over again ever since it came out yesterday!) so don't just dump it away in the bin just to fit in with the crowd.

  • Ignore rude comment, they aren't worth your time. They are just jealous you went further/are more unique than them.

  • Don't restrict your self. No, the sky isn't the limit. You could always go further...

Oh, how I enjoy being 'wise'..!

Remember my bow tutorial? The bow was inspired by Lady Gaga's hair bow! (I love my cakes being inspired by some part of Lady Gaga's clothes!)

Badminton 1/11/11

After months of not holding my badminton racket, I finally got the (Pick a word, I am having a hard time deciding.) chance/opportunity/excuse (I make it sound as though I have been forced to not play badminton but it is just maybe I have more interesting things to do these days and my sparing partner/s are not as free as they were a year back.) to pick it up again...

Gripping the racket again was.. Weird.
It felt like a very foreign object, something my hands are not used to gripping to like the time in the ICCA Annual Cake Competition 2010 when I had to make a @!*^%$@! speech on stage...
Yeah... I still remember little (I guess you could say it is a BIG thing.) things like that, public speaking freaks me out.
I am glad I managed to do that without fainting on stage...

After taking the racket out of the case and giving it a few swings, I still didn't feel comfortable holding it.
I pictured myself dying of embarrassment, not being able to hit the shuttle cork...
I am such a negative person sometimes... Yeesh.

We packed the 4 boys (I had one extra brother today!) into the car and drove off to the badminton court in USJ.

Half way there, I heard Arian (That's my extra brother for the day!) rapping some Eminem song, then Eu Fai sang Bad Romance-Lady Gaga and even Eu Han chipped in with Paparazzi-Lady Gaga ( My brothers listen to way too much Lady Gaga thanks to ME!)..
When I was their age I only knew nursery rhymes!
I feel so.. Outdated and old! Yikes!

After loosing a few rounds I pretty much got the hang of it again.

Never had such a fun time playing badminton in a looooooooong time!
Let alone any sport... Art has made me very un-active? And lazy! Haha!

After an hour or so hitting the shuttle cork non stop, I felt pretty good (And sweaty, exhausted, dehydrated and drop dead tired!)!

I plan to play badminton with CLIC (Hopefully) every week from now on...

2010ish

2010!.. Errr... I mean 2011! I can't believe it is 2011! Another year gone... Another new year to explore...

I feel guilty not blogging for the past one week or so, my best friend, Thea from Penang visited me during Christmas (It was both our Christmas wishes to see each other again.) came down to visit me in KL!

I spent 90% of the days (Till today.) spending time, catching up with my pal.

The day before Thea came down to KL my Aunt M and my cousins came from Ipoh (My house was loaded with people (From northern states! Hahaha!) and my Mom had planned another one of her 'De-tour-around-KL' for them so since Thea was here we just tagged along with her plan and had LOTS of fun!

(Ahhh! I am getting so distracted (Thea, If you are reading THIS. It is a a GOOD distracted!) with Thea's Christmas present! Lady Gaga's The Fame AND The Fame Monster!! I can't help but sing and nod my head to the song... Smiles*)

We went:

  • To my Port Dickson house
  • To Taman Pertanian, Shah Alam, We went cycling, visited the 'Four-season house' and had a picnic.
  • To Zoo Negara
  • To KLCC, We watched Gulliver Travels and hung out at Kinokuniya.
  • To... More PD!!
Whew! I am exhausted!
I think I need a break from all the fun we had, are having and going to have!

Cupcake Booth @ Shangri-La

Another day at my cupcake booth @ Shangri-La has gone by...
I am just sitting back FBing, Blogging and listening to my favorite Pop songs on YouTube.. I love these type of moments of the day :)

Well... It wasn't perfect. I still have much more to learn from PaPa about marketing out my cupcakes to customers!
I am defiantly gonna want to sign up for a booth the next time they have their Rotary district stuff because (Jeez! I didn't know it was so hard to focus on typing when a rap song comes on, hmm. Weird.) it is amazing how much I learn from that 3 days at my cupcake booth!
I hope to improve MUCH more the next time!

Nothing exciting happened on the first day, it was rather DULL actually!
There wasn't much sales, I don't know why!
It was REALLY disappointing!

You (Oh this song is catchy! I have got to sing and dance along to it! 5 minutes!) could say today was quiet innnterrresttinggg!
I stayed up till 2 AM baking this time for the booth because I made a vow to myself that I would always bake my cupcakes on the day it self!
And I had to wake up at 6 AM which is totally and utterly CRAZY!
Sigh..! But at least I made it to the end of today!
The morning went by slooooowly and really paaaaiiiinfully!
Half of the time I felt like dozing off and my head landing on the boxes of cakes/cupcakes! Haha!

PaPa called me and Caryn (She was helping me out today.) to have a look at the opening ceremony in one of the ballrooms.
I found one special performance I REALLY enjoyed!
It was the Chinese drum one.
It was a group (20-30-ish) of kids (Around my age I suppose) playing them!
Not only were they drumming REALLY well but they had AWESOME choreography!
For one moment I actually thought of try it out but then another thought overcame that one and it was: I am NEVER gonna want to do such a performance like that!
Unless... It is a cake decorating demonstration or something... Wait! Maybe I wouldn't even have the guts to do THAT!
I hate myself being like THIS! Grr
I went back to my booth after this thought and filled myself with more... Not so positive ones..

I suppose why the rest of the day went so well and I was happy was because I met this International Youth Exchange AKA IYE student from Tokyo, Japan!

PaPa invited me into his 'Conversation' and introduced Machika (Yess! Finally! I actually remembered her name!) to me and Caryn.
We 'Clicked' from that moment on.
We talked like long lost friends and like there was NO tomorrow!
It was pure AWESOME! =)

Bla bla blaaa... She talk about her life back in Tokyo and I talk about mine.. She tells me what her interests are and I SHOW her what my passion for life will be.. Bla bla blaa....

She takes out her IPod and asked me what was my favorite 'Singer'.
Me: Lady Gaga of course!
Her jaw dropped.*
Then she was like WOOOOW!*
Her: You don't look like the 'type' that 'like' listening to Lady Gaga! (Oh and she speaks with SO much expression on her face and I found out that 'Japanese' ladies speak much softer and 'girly-er' (Felt SO loud!), I felt like I was acting in an anime! Hahaa!)
Me: Yeah...

I always get judged by my 'cover', if only people would look at my pages!

More and MORE talk!
We spent the rest of the afternoon talking, eating (Not my cupcakes!), laughing, exploring Shangri-La and nodding our heads to our favorite music!

I can hardly wait for tomorrow!

Mtv World Stage 2010

You might be wondering after I posted the title 'Mtv World Stage 2010' think that I will be going right?
But unfortunately I ain't :(

SOB! Wish I could be there to see Katy Perry, Wonder Girls, Tokio Hotel and Bunk face @ Sunway lagoon surf beach!! AHH!!
Well.. I am not such BIG HUGE fans of them so I am trying to tell myself it is 'OK' not going.. Well I think I am doing a horrible job at telling myself that! Ha ha!!

If (Only IF) Lady Gaga were there I would be 100% buying those tickets (Front seats/standing!) no matter WHAT!!
Lady Gaga come to MALAYSIA!!
