Clay doll 2

It's done, finally!

Clay has been an "On-Off" thing for me since I could come when ever I want and not come when ever I wanted, so it makes you want to go more on the "Not wanting to go" side.

So I had been "Not wanting to go" since like.. err.. Some time last year! 

And when I resumed clay I found the part of my dress I left there for about five months rather dusty and it was white so it got a rather good scrub.

I am pretty proud of this one compared to the last one (I can't find a photo of it! Okay let me describe it.. The whole "costume" is in shades of purple which was a horrible mistake because that's how it got so dull! I think there were too little layers of clay cloth on that one which made it look a little too skinny and not "royal", it looks like the servant of my current on actually! The eyes and mouth were brown and light pink so they didn't really stand out much, Now everyones saying that it looks ghostly! So I made the eyes black and red this time! Made the hair pieces and hair more 'royal" too this time.. And that should be about all I can describe!) I made that seems VERY dull compared to this one and the fact that I got to choose the colors for this doll (I insisted very hard so the tutor/teacher gave in, Yippee!)  

I think it is quite easy to guess which is my favorite part of the dress/doll..

It's the black things hanging down with the gold paintings on it and the hair pieces!

Oh, and my first doll was empty handed so I decided my second one needed something to hold and I saw one of the dolls in the display holding a fan and it looked quite good so I decided to go with it.

I spent about 10 hours plus another 2 more on the doll once I got home (Making the fan, doing more gold painting at the back of the dress and touching up some stuff.), I couldn't really focus on anything properly once I was done, I was drop dead tired!

I love it when I am done with a project and I have to meet Mommy and the rest down stairs, I get the parade all around Ikano (I think it is called IPC now, what a horrible name.) with my doll and my VERY extremely heavy tool box which I nearly dropped yesterday.

I could have taken the lift but I have a weird phobia of being in one alone, it's even worst if someones walks in, so I went 3 floors down with the escalator and my heavy stuff.

Then.. The hair kept falling (I re-did the whole hair do once I got home because too many pieces were missing!!) out and my hands were full and about to break so I couldn't pick them up!

I felt like Hensel leaving breadcrumbs on the floor!

So my current project is a Tissue box, hahaha!

Can't wait to see how this one turns out!

My clay day

Whew! I am soOOooOo tired..! Ugh! Was out for 10 full hours today!
Boy I missed HOME!

My day started at 11 AM today. The usual things like breakfast and daily FaceBook check doesn't count!

After dumping my brothers in Ikea's Smailand I headed to Ikano where my clay class is.
Every time I travel from Ikea to Ikano I get this few things: People exchange weird looks at me and my backpack and tool box gets heavier every single time!

When I FINALLY reach my Clay class I get that 'Oh-it-is-THAT-girl-again' look... Ugh.!
I still wonder why..
Is it because I stay for at least 5 hours or that I am really THAT bothersome?
I wish I knew!

Anyway, today I tried VERY hard putting those not-so-positive-or-also-known-as-negative-thoughts-that-I-always-have-when-I-go-to-clay-class thoughts (I guess I just think too much about what people think of me, eh? There isn't one moment when I am not flooding my head with random thoughts so it is going to be REALLY hard.. I suppose it is either random thoughts and/or that same song that is randomly chosen from my 'iBrain' playlist everyday. Today's song was Just the way you are by Bruno Mars!) today because I was REALLY excited about how this figurine project will turn out!

Ooh... I am back to blogging, mainly because of Mommy but nevermind about that.
I guess it is time to get back and blog, I missed blogging... Somehow :)

And I could'ent name this post because I am probly going to write about a lot of random things which cant become ONE proper title so may the title be a mystry!

So... I just got back from Sunway Lagoon, AGAIN! Yawn...
I am getting really.. err... bored? with that place/going there.
We go there lots because we got that all-year-round-excess-to-all-the-parks-over-there card for my whole family...
I pretty glad its going to expire soon! I am NEVER going back there again, It NEVER changes... Much!
It would be nice if they changed the roller-coaster track at least! And add higher drops and at least 2 loop-a-dee-doos to it!
I guess it won't be worth going back there next year unless they do a MAJOR renovation!!

Enough of Sunway Lagoon!

Let me blog about OTHER things that have/about to go on...

Was it yesterday? Or was it the day before..? Oh well! Something like that!
I was at my Clay (Not pottery typ-a clay but clay that if something like gumpaste-ish!) clay @ Ikano.
I quit clay for a while and re-started again, mainly because I didnt like the people teaching there! And you could say I still don't but I feel good over there... It's the closest I have got to my cake decorating courses!
(Yes, I do miss my Wilton cake decorating courses TONS! I wish it was for... ETERNITY! I could'ent be happier if it was!)
The last course I had over there was an Orchid flower thingy and I wanted a change this time so I chose a realistic figurine course.
I enjoyed this course TONS!! I find it SoOoOO much more interesting, mainly because I get to choose what she is, what she wears, what are her accesorries etc..!
You get to let your creativety go freEeEEee! And thats the way I like doing things, MY own way!
Just for your infomation, I chose a doll wearing a kimono and her accesorry is a fan.
But only I dont really like the fan so I might not use it...
Oh well!
I lurrrrve my kimono... I guess it's because it is my favourite color, Purple :)
I should be able to complete it the next time round I suppose, I am around 90% DONE!!
The 10% would be a bit of the hair and the face...
All I have now is a blank face, which is kinda creepy... Well to me it is!
And the rest is done except some hair accesorries :)

And... Another one of my cupcake booths is coming up!
It's from the 10th-13th Dec @ Shangri-La!

I will write more about that later on...
The mosquetoes are drivign me crazzeeeee!!

Goals for today...

Today hopefully after all the moving stuff into my new cakin' room (Which was the play/study room and maybe it 80% still is!) I would still have to to at least cover the 5 dummy cakes with royal icing and hopefully do some string work practice on my Wilton practice board... :)

And if if if if (Yeah thats ALOTTA if's) I have more time after that I will do my clay HOMEWORK -.-"

Hopefully i will be able to complete EVERYTHING!

4th July 2010

4th July 2010... One of the worst titles I could ever think of haha!!
But still... Many things happened TODAY (4th July 2010) so I guess I would just name this post that!!

Ok, enough of that chit chat of 4th July 2010 :P

Well today there is GOOD news and BAD news...

The good news is: Mommy has got her car so we can go anywhere and everywhere! Hooray!

The bad news is: I have to look after baby Eanny in the car :( Sob!

Today I needed to get some cakin' stuff for the ICCA wedding cake competition so we drove to ICCA Kota Damansara.

More GOOD news and BAD news stuff...

The good news? Ean was a goody good boy on the way there :) He only asked for Mommy 2 time and got easily distracted by other stuff and he fell asleep on the way there.. Yay! :D

The bad news? We got lost finding ICCA. (Yeah.. The shoplots are like a maze and I dont really remember the way out :( ) So we went at least 4 BIG rounds before finding it.. Sigh! Thank goodness eanny was sleeping or he would have made a FUSS!

Oh have I told you that I feel like I am in heaven when I go cakin' shopping?
Yeah I was in cakin' heaven today picking and choosing my stuff (I MISS ICCA tons! I wish I had my Wilton courses every day.. :( I MISS my friends and Nina.. And no I dont MISS the diploma! Too much stress! Yeah I learnt tons of stuff but I dont really wanna go through it again! Ok enough about how much I miss ICCA and stuff back to the 4th July 2010 post!) for the ICCA cake competition :)

AHH! ERROR! I JUST FOUND OUT IT IS THE 4TH OF AUGUST 2010! LOL! BUT STILL... IT IS A GOOD TITILE.. I WILL KEEP IT THAT WAY :P

Ikea time!

We didnt know the way there so we just followed our guts... And we got there safe and sound! Hooray for guts! :P

Had lunch and it was YENJI CLAY time!

Ugh-ish... (And Mommy if you are reading this pretend you did not see that word okie?)

I started on a new project.. The figurine doll thingy-ma-bob project.

The instructor are still the same and they still HATE (Ok fine.. DISLIKE) me... Sheesh kabab..

Made the head and hand (Yes only 1 hand.. I have to do the other as HOMEWORK...) today..

Just not so lately I got this polymer clay charms bug...
Making cutesy-putsy polymer clay food/figures/animals and sticking em' to key chains, bracelets, necklaceses etc..
So I bought 2 plain metal (One pink and the other black..) necklaces with that screw thing to attach it to the polymer clay..

Yes, you could say I was quite happy after getting this stuffies.. i couldent WAIT to get home to start!

On the way home from Ikea..

OK enough with the Leong EU Eanny-ing :P

I started polymer clay-ing the moment i reached home!
I was WAY too excited!!

At first i wanted to do a baby doll figurine holding a cupcake..
That didn't turn out well so I start on a NEW one!!

So this one was successful :)

It was a little tan colored rabbit no taller than 3 inches holding a cute little strawberry swirled cupcake :)
